Milwaukee Jewish Film Festival to feature global line-up

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The 26th annual Milwaukee Jewish Film Festival is set to showcase a diverse selection of films from Oct. 15 to Oct. 19 at Marcus North Shore Cinema in Mequon.

The event, organized by the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center, will feature films exploring various aspects of Jewish culture, history and contemporary life.

Sunday, Oct. 15 will see the festival kick off with "The Path," a German film set in 1940 focusing on a journalist and his son fleeing Nazi Germany.

Other notable screenings include "Where Life Begins," a Franco-Italian romantic drama scheduled for Monday, Oct. 16, and "Farewell Mr. Haffmann," a French film set in Nazi-occupied Paris to be shown on Tuesday, Oct. 17.

The festival will showcase "Remembering Gene Wilder" on Wednesday, Oct. 18, a biographical documentary about the late actor, and on Thursday, Oct. 19, "Matchmaking," an Israeli film about a young man's quest for love, will close the festival.

In addition to in-person screenings, the festival will allow streaming of the films until Sunday, Oct. 29. Tickets are priced at $12 for both in-person and streaming options.
