MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Greater Milwaukee Association of REALTORS offers a monthly which outlines home buying and selling activity in the Milwaukee area, with the latest report discussing trends observed in February.
Angela Walters, 2023 Chairperson of the GMAR Board of Directors and owner of Walters Realty Group at EXP Realty, joined us on Monday, March 20 to discuss the latest real estate market activity.
Walters says that although home sales have declined, the market remains active. In February, 1,174 homes were sold in the four-county area.
She also mentioned some factors that potential homebuyers should focus on major when evaluating a property. Key factors include the furnace, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical systems, roof and foundation. She advises buyers to ignore smaller, non-essential items such as paint colors, light fixtures and carpeting.
