MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County leaders celebrated the completion of the Milwaukee Holiday Drive on Monday, Dec. 8 at the courthouse.
This year's drive collected more than 1,700 personal care items and toys for families who have lost their homes due to fires. The donations will be directed to the American Red Cross.
Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley joined other local leaders to highlight the donations.
"I am extremely proud to see that our community consistently rises up to take care of one another and our community," Crowley said. "They really show what's possible when you really prioritize compassion, equity, as well as connection."
