Milwaukee Fire Department: Active Investigation for Person in KK River

The Milwaukee Fire Department dive team searched the Kinnickinnic River for several hours Wednesday night for a man who reportedly fell into the river. The search was concentrated near South Chase Avenue and S 1st Street. The Milwaukee Police Department received the report at 9 PM of an adult male who had fallen into the river. According to the Police, MFD rescue divers in a boat searched the river for several hours but could not find an individual in the water. The Milwaukee Police are continuing to investigate the report.

The Milwaukee Fire Department is calling off the search for the night. They said they were not able to find anyone on the surface or with dive crews.

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Police Department confirms that a 'person is in the water' in the KK River.
The Milwaukee Police Department along with the Milwaukee Fire Department are on the scene currently.
The fire department says they are attempting to locate someone but they haven't found them yet. They are attempting to isolate the area further.
The US Coast Guard Milwaukee also received the call to assist and are calling it an active investigation.
