MFD: 1 adult, 1 child injured in house fire near 6th and Madison

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two people were injured in a house fire near 6th and Madison in Milwaukee. 

According to the Milwaukee Fire Department (MFD), one child suffered burns and one adult suffered smoke inhalation. 

The home was fully involved when fire crews arrived. Heavy smoke could be seen coming from the home. 

They were called to the home around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. 

As of 10:30 a.m. crews are still on the scene. 

The MFD battalion chief said crews have to be much more methodical in the colder temperatures, these extreme temperatures make it more difficult to fight fires.
