MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Catch a film that sparks your curiosity as the Milwaukee Film Festival gives the community a cinematic experience worth remembering.

This year, there are more than 200 films from filmmakers around the world. Discover stories that inspire, challenge and entertain at two historic east side theaters.

From laugh-out-loud comedies to powerful documentaries and bold genre films, there’s something for every kind of moviegoer.

While the festival brings global stories to the local screen, nearly 20% of this year’s films are created by local filmmakers, including standout projects like “Powwow People,” directed by a University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee alum.

The festival is nearly halfway over. You have until April 30 to get tickets and catch a screening.
