MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee-area nonprofits were out in full force on this Giving Tuesday. One of them was Milwaukee Diaper Mission.
The organization highlighted its newest partner, the UWM Food Center and Pantry.
Along with diapers, the nonprofit provides local organizations with other essential products like wipes and period products.
One in three families in the U.S. experiences diaper need, and on top of that, record inflation is putting a strain on more families.
The group's leaders say their work is crucial for local families.
"The fact that we're able to provide diapers and period supplies to these small organizations means the world, because they're our lifeline to the families in the city of Milwaukee that we are serving," said Meagan Johnson, executive director of Milwaukee Diaper Mission.
On this Giving Tuesday, Milwaukee Diaper Mission encourages people to find ways to support their distribution partners.
