MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Diaper Mission is celebrating their fifth birthday today, Sept. 21!

And to celebrate, tens of thousands of diapers, baby wipes and other resources were handed out to parents and families in need.

It was for Milwaukee Diaper Mission's "The Big Give Back: Drive-Thru Distribution Event."

It's their largest fundraising event of the year as 50,000 diapers were ready to be distributed to our community.

"We've seen hundreds of families come through today and that just shows how high the need is in our community," said Executive Director Meagan Johnson. "We know that access to basic essentials like diapers and period supplies is a basic human right and that's why we try to fill that gap and provide these items to families on a regular basis."

Today is the last day of 'The Big Give Back.' If you want to make a last-minute donation you can visit the website here.

All donations will be matched thanks to 'Nuna Baby.'
