Milwaukee Couple Finds Love Bidding on Each Other For Charity

A Milwaukee couple who met as a bachelor and bachelorette in a charity event last year will marry each other this weekend.

Farrah Fure and Marc Gall met in March of 2015 participating in the annual WGIRLS Milwaukee Bachelor and Bachelorette Meet Your Match Auction for charity.

According to a release from the event, they won dates with each other, and are now getting married on April 16, 2016.

Last year, friends nominated each of them to be auctioned off as one of Milwaukee’s most eligible singles to help raise funds for Penfield Children’s Center.

On the night of the auction, Marc was the first of the two to get auctioned off, and Farrah was the winning bidder with $1,300.

Farrah was one of the last of group to be auctioned.

According to the release, there was heavy competition between bidders.

Marc won the bidding war at $4000.

It was the first time in the history of the event that a bachelor and a bachelorette bought each other. Following the event, the two began dating.

In September 2015, the couple attended another benefit for Penfield Children’s Center, and Marc found it to be the perfect opportunity to propose. The couple will tie the knot on Saturday, April 16, 2016.

Other singles looking to find love (and help the community) can try their luck at the 2016 Bachelor & Bachelorette Auction Meet Your Match Auction.  Held on Thursday, May 12 at The Point, 906 S. Barclay St., the 7th annual auction is presented by WGIRLS Milwaukee and benefits the Milwaukee Women’s Center.

The bachelors and bachelorettes plan their dream date as part of the appeal to bidders.
