MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Zoo showed its recently-expanded African elephant herd Wednesday, Sept. 9.

A new elephant, "Belle," arrived last November.

She's been getting used to her new neighbors, Brittany and Ruth.

It takes some time for elephants to figure out who's the dominant figure in the exhibit, however Belle seems to be the one now in charge.

"Belle knows she runs the show," said Elephant Care Coordinator Erin Dowgwillo. "When she gets bored with something and she wants it she'll just walk and the other two will move away and do what she wants to do."

A new sneak preview of the exhibit took place Wednesday, but when will the public be able to see them?

The coordinator says that will be kind of "hit and miss" depending on the mood of the elephants, though it could start happening this coming weekend.
