MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County Supervisor Marcelia Nicholson was arrested for an OWI over the weekend.
It happened shortly after midnight on Monday.
According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, Nicholson was arrested after crashing her car on I-43 southbound at National Avenue.
Nicholson allegedly crashed into a median wall, showed signs of impairment, and admitted to drinking one drink. She was arrested for OWI.

Nicholson released the following statement to CBS 58 News regarding her arrest,
Over the weekend, I was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. I cooperated fully with the Police. I will make no excuses. I made a horrible mistake and I am embarrassed by my actions. I apologize to my constituents, colleagues, and community members for my inexcusable decision.
