Milwaukee County Sheriff's squad hit in Mitchell Interchange Wednesday morning

Wednesday morning, at about 5:15 AM, a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Deputy responded to a one-car crash in the median on the I-43 west to I-94 south ramp in the Mitchell Interchange. The Deputy’s squad was angled to block the scene and the lights were activated.

As the deputy set out flares, another car hit the squad also involving two other cars and a semi-tractor trailer truck.

The deputy was not injured. One driver was conveyed to the hospital for treatment for cuts to his face.

The Milwaukee Police Department conducted the crash investigation.
