Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office mourns the loss of K-9 Bohdi

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office shared a somber message on social media Friday, Feb. 2, revealing the department has suffered a loss.

K-9 Bohdi passed away at the age of 14 on Jan. 30, as announced in the Friday message on Facebook.

MCSO noted that Bohdi was more than a service dog, as he was considered to be a valued member of the law enforcement community, serving alongside his partner, now-former MCSO Deputy Sheriff Jamie Arnold.

A Belgian Malinois, Bohdi spent 10 years as a dual-purpose K-9 who specialized in tracking, apprehension and narcotics detection. His career was spent in the MCSO's Investigative Services Bureau, where he and Deputy Arnold worked as a team until his retirement.

Reflecting on Bohdi's service, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office stated in their message to the public, "May he #RestInPeace and may his memory be a blessing."
