MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County remember a hero Friday who lost his life in the line of duty.
Milwaukee County Sheriff Earnell Lucas said Deputy Sheriff David Demos, "represented the very best of his family, his friends, and this organization that he left behind."
Demos was helping a disabled motorist on I-94 when he was hit and killed by a drunk driver 22 years ago.
"He was a remarkable individual that was always willing to help others out, almost to a flaw at times," said Demos son Chris Demos.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office and the community honored the deputy with a wreath laying ceremony.
