Milwaukee Concert Band presents A Celebration Concert

The Milwaukee Concert Band presents a Celebration Concert in conjunction with Brown Deer High School Concert Choir and theatre students on Sunday, May 4, at 6:00pm, at Brown Deer High School (8060 North 60th Street, Brown Deer). The Band will perform Where Falcons Soar by Christian Earl and Songs of Earth, Water, Fire, and Sky by Robert W. Smith. The Brown Deer Concert Choir will join the Band on Dry Your Tears, Afrika (from Amistad) by John Williams, and Aaron Copland’s The Promise of Living (Thanksgiving Song from “The Tender Land.”) The Band will be joined by theatre students for the well-known Ernest L. Thayer poem Casey at the Bat, set to music by Randol Alan Bass. The concert admission is free. Rehearsal and concert volunteer hours benefit the Brown Deer School District QZAB requirement. An ice cream social will follow the concert. For more information, contact Theresa Moniot, Band President, at [email protected].
