Milwaukee (CBS 58)--You now have the chance to “test the waters” to see if you could actually be a lifeguard this summer. In fact, Milwaukee County is looking to fill about a hundred positions. Over the course of the next few weeks, there will be training sessions at both Noyes and Pulaski Pools. The classes consist of in-water exercises, a civil service physical performance exam, and a first responder course.
To qualify to be a lifeguard in Milwaukee County this summer, you must be 16 by July of this year, able to swim 100 meters in a minute and 45 seconds, and be in good physical condition overall. Lifeguard pay starts at $10.57 an hour. Just click here to find out all you need on this topic, including times and locations of the training sessions.
