WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A special delivery was made to Froedtert Hospital Thursday.
The Milwaukee Bucks and Fiserv Forum sent about 600 pints of Cedar Crest ice cream to the hospital, but not for the patients.
This was for the doctors, nurses and staff who have played such a crucial role in fighting coronavirus.
A lot of those staffers greeted the ice cream truck, and they even ignored a downpour to talk to reporters.
"It's not about what you get, it's about who you see and who's caring about you," said Charge nurse Nicole Hebert. "So knowing that our local community is caring about us is really nice."
The Bucks also delivered ice cream to hospitals in Menomonee Falls and West Bend.
