MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Bucks, Sargento, and Habitat for Humanity announced Thursday, Oct. 14, that they will hold a third season of the "Tipoff for Homes" program.
For every tipoff the Bucks win during the regular season, Sargento will donate $500 to Habitat for Humanity in Milwaukee.
"We know that when our community wins, we also win," said Portia Young of Sargento Foods. "And we really saw that firsthand when everybody came together to celebrate the Milwaukee Bucks and the championship. We saw the community coming together and just applauding that wonderful success and it let people know that everything is possible when people come together and work together."
Last year, the Bucks won 52 of the 72 opening tipoffs during the regular season and 18 of 23 tipoffs during the playoffs.
That total adds up to a $44,000 donation to Habitat for Humanity in Milwaukee.
