Milwaukee Brewers Player Hit by Fastball

Milwaukee Brewers Keon Broxton had a 93 mile per hour fastball whizzing at him and no time to get out of the way.

The pitch took his helmet clean off and hit his nose.

Broxton was down for a little while before leaving the game.

Luckily he was wearing a new piece of protection on his helmet.

The c-flap covers more of a batters face and Broxton says without it the ball would've hit him in the eye socket instead of a major injury, he's day-to-day...

\"I feel very blessed to be in this position to be able to sit here and talk to you guys. Especially after seeing this happen to a number of people in the past. That c-flap saved my life. It's a blessing from god to have the opportunity to put that thing on. The crazy thing is I was thinking about taking it off a couple of days ago then this happened so I'm never taking that thing off,” said Broxton.
