Milwaukee Brewers advance to NLCS, beat Cubs 3-1 in decisive NLDS Game 5

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers are moving on to face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS, after defeating the Cubs in a must-win Game 5.
The Brewers won 3 to 1, propelled by three Homeruns, from William Contreras, Andrew Vaughn, and Brice Turang.
And Milwaukee saw a collective effort of pitching from Trevor Megill, Jacob Misiorowski, Aaron Ashby, Chad Patrick, and Abner Uribe who only gave up one run.
The Cubs lone run came from a Seiya Suzuki homerun in the first inning.
After securing the home victory, the Brewers have won the National League Divisional Series 3-2. With each team winning all their respective games at home.
Fans showed up for the Brewers, both at the ballpark and out around town as the team wins their first postseason series since 2018.
And with the win, came the champagne showers in the clubhouse.

CBS 58 caught up with a few of the stars of the game, Andrew Vaughn and pitcher Jacob Misiorowski.
The Brewers now advance to the NLCS to play the Dodgers, which begins Monday in Milwaukee.
First pitch for that game will be at 7:08 p.m.
