Milwaukee Ballet's Dancers Read to Children at Milwaukee Public Libraries

The Milwaukee Ballet’s dancers read stories about their craft at both the Atkinson and MLK branches and as delighted parents looked on.

The youngsters then gave it a whirl.

This is part of the dance company's community outreach started some 15 years ago as a way to engage children about the art form.

“Because we really think its important to have people engage and meet dancers. See what they're like. See things close up,” said Lori McNichols, Milwaukee Ballet.

Some of the dancers, despite their profession are shy when at first taking a stab at story time.

Soon find their footing and find it a highlight of their time here in Milwaukee.
