Milwaukee Art Museum to host 4-day 'Streets of Paris' event in partnership with Bastille Days

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Art Museum will host a four-day event in partnership with Bastille Days this month, transporting guests to France and French-speaking countries across the globe.

"Streets of Paris" will run from July 14-17, inspired by the museum's feature exhibition Always New: The Posters of Jules Cherét.

The multi-day event will include live music, printmaking, storytelling, performances and a free film screening of the documentary Myth of a Colorblind France.

A beer garden will be open Friday evening through Sunday, and hands-on art-making with the Kohl's Art Studio will be held Friday-Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
