Milwaukee and North Shore Fire Departments respond to separate house fires over night

MILWAUKEE, WI (CBS 58) -- Four adults and a child are being assisted by the Red Cross following a late night house fire in Milwaukee.   Milwaukee Fire Department responded to the fire in a single family home at N 7th and W Center Streets just before 11 PM Saturday.   The fire was located in the ceiling on the second floor of the home and was quickly extinguished.   The cause of the fire is believed to have been electrical in nature.   The amount of damage is estimated at $12,000. 

There were no reported injuries in a house fire at North Bay Ridge Avenue near W Devon Street in Whitefish Bay.   The North Shore Fire Department says the fire was reported around 2:30 AM and was confined to the basement of the home.   Fire Department officials say the fire was in the furnace of the home and was quickly extinguished.   There is no estimate of damage to the home.
