Opening weekend is here for Slinger Speedway
As you step outside today, it will not feel like February, especially the first half of February for us in southeastern Wisconsin. The pattern is starting to switch a bit as we head to the last two weeks of the month.
Today will feature some fog, but mild temperatures. Morning temps will be in the 30s, then in the 40s again for this afternoon. We hit our first 40 degree high yesterday at Mitchell for the month.
Subtle changes will move in today and tonight along a cold front. The cold front could spark a scattered shower today, and once the front marches all the way in tonight, this could bring a mix, but mainly just flurries or light snow. Accumulations will be very light, if anything at all since it does not appear to be widespread. Most of the models are indicating nothing more than a dusting.
It will be a little cooler tomorrow with highs dropping below average near 30. Don’t worry, mild air returns late this weekend and early next week with more 40s.
