Midwest Twisters Gymnastics Competition Underway At Wisconsin Center

Right now the Midwest Twisters largest meet of the year underway at the Wisconsin Center.

CBS 58 News caught the early action Friday morning in the three day long tournament.

Competitors include boys and girls teams from seven different states, from USA Gymnastics to Junior Olympics and college.

This is the 15th and biggest year with some 2,300 competitors. Some as young as five.

"It's amazing to see the work they put in," said Kathy Nelson, Co-ordinator of the meet. "Especially the little kids You'll see such a variety and big range and all the camaraderie. It's really fun to watch."

Hal's Harley-Davidson is helping the Midwest Twisters host the tournament which is expected to draw some 6,000 people between the teams and spectators.

Friday 2/10              8:00am-9:00pm    Women's
                               7:00pm-9:00pm    NCAA competition - 4 colleges
Saturday 2/11           8:00am-9:00pm   Events all day
 Sunday 2/12            8:00am-6:00pm    Events all day
