Midnight Reruns on the CBS 58 News at 4

Fresh off their opening for \"The Replacements\" at the Rave, \"Midnight Reruns\" headlined the KNE New Music Stage on the opening night of Summerfest.

But before the gig  Guitarist Brady Murphy and Vocalist Graham Hunt stopped by for a live chat on the CBS 58 News at 4 p.m.

They were excited at the prospect of drawing the same enthusiastic crowd that had packed the Locust Street Festival to hear their set just days earlier.

\"I have no idea what to expect tonight,\" Hunt said. But he did share that he doesn't seek to emulate anyone in particular when he writes.

\"I listen to all kinds of music. When I write music, I try to mess around with the guitar and find out what sounds good to me and roll with it.\"

Karl Giehl and Sam Reitman round out the Milwaukee based group which formed  in late 2010.

They have quickly caught on and are a familiar feature on the local club scene.

Critics have described them in some of the following ways:

\"What makes me truly love them is that the group's excellent self-titled debut aspires to add to the great lineage of Midwestern power pop, aiming for the sweet spot between the first Raspberries record and Cheap Trick's In Color.\" - Grantland

\"On their self-titled debut, the band take lovingly obvious cues from fellow midwesterners The Replacements with palpable hints of loss, longing, set to the tune of powerfully melody-driven, but still-fractured gutter pop riffs.\" - Punknews
