Michigan Man Fatally Shot While Trying to Protect a Dog

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -
Police are investigating a fatal shooting near Napier and Milton Street in Benton Harbor, according to CBS 58's sister station WBND.
Benton Township Police say an employee of Michiana Supply Company came outside of the store after allegedly witnessing a man kicking a dog.
The man who was kicking the dog pulled out a gun and allegedly shot and killed the male employee.
Police are looking for a black male, approximately 5'7" tall wearing a white shirt.
Some businesses in the area are on voluntary lockdown while police search for the suspect.
