MFD responds to park for report of van with 'possible hazardous materials' inside, 1 in custody

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- One person was arrested  after someone called in a suspicious van parked near Kern Park.

The Milwaukee Fire Department was called out to the park located near Humboldt and Keefe around 2 p.m. on Sunday for a report of a van that possibly had hazardous materials inside.

The Milwaukee Fire Department did not find anything hazardous and turned the investigation over to the Milwaukee Police Department.

Milwaukee Police arrived on scene and took a person into custody for possession of narcotics.

The investigation remains ongoing.
