(MILWAUKEE) – As the 52nd edition of Summerfest is coming to a close along the Milwaukee lakefront. Some of the biggest names in music have performed at the event billed as the Big Gig over the years providing countless memories and smiles to millions of people.
What's now known as the world's largest music festival didn't start out that way, but its humble beginnings proved celebrating music in Milwaukee was here to stay.
On CBS 58 Sunday Morning, Pauleen Le sat down with one of the first performers to take the stage at the inaugural Summerfest in 1968.
