Meeting over Bay View development

A developer took interest in a well known establishment in the Bay View neighborhood and some residents are not happy. Alderman Zielinski says he's trying to gauge the neighborhood's interest in future development at the site of At Random Bar. That meeting is at 6 PM at South Shore Pavilion. He says the apartment developer has since pulled out of the project but he says others may come forward.

Bay View is seeing several projects pop up including a 307 unit project at Robinson and Ward that's already passed zoning. There is also a proposed 72 unit apartment and commercial building at Kinnickinick and Ward. And a co-op style building that's eco-friendly at Lincoln and Bay.

Zielinski says as for the At Random Bar project, he wants to keep traffic out of the neighborhoods and wouldn't support rezoning that area.
