Medical Examiner: Two Killed in Early Morning Crash After Driver Sees Police and Speeds Off

MILWAUKEE - Two men are dead following a single vehicle accident near 70th and Marion. 

According to the Medical Examiner's Office, the vehicle was noted by a Milwaukee Police Officer to be driving recklessly. When the driver of the vehicle saw the police squad, he took off at a high rate of speed headed south on 70th Street. 

According to the Medical Examiner, the driver then lost control of the vehicle and hit a curb before hitting a light pole and hitting a tree. The driver and passenger were both pronounced dead the scene.

The Medical Examiner has identified the two men as 23-year-old Kelvin Jones and 29-year-old Quincy Brown.

No evidence of alcohol use or illegal drug use was noted. 

Several neighbors tell CBS58, drivers speeding is a daily occurrence. One neighbor described it as a 'racetrack,' while another called it 'I-94.'
