KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after a body found was on a golf course, partially covered with snow on Wednesday, Nov. 13.
The man’s frozen body was found Wednesday afternoon at Brighton Dale Links on Highway 75 in Kansasville.
A park employee found the body near the 13th hole in the fairway off the golf cart path.
The medical examiner was called to the scene.
Investigators have not identified the man yet.
The sheriff’s department says the death is not suspicious and they are not investigating it as a homicide.
They say there is no threat to the public.
“We don’t, to my knowledge, have a report of anybody missing and it appears that this gentleman has been here for a couple days which is a little odd,” Captain Robert Hallisy with the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department said. “If someone has a family member that is missing they should contact the sheriff’s department.”
Brighton Elementary School is right next to the golf course.
The sheriff’s department notified the school, but said they did not need to go on lock-down or take any safety measures.
