WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A homicide investigation is underway near 69th and National.

Police responded to the scene just before 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 18. 

Officials say a 28-year-old woman called police to report a shooting and upon arrival, officers located a 35-year-old man deceased from a gunshot wound. 

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Antwon Rhodes. 

According to police, the 28-year-old woman was taken into custody for the shooting. 

Both parties were known to each other.
