Woman dies after falling out of vehicle near 35th and Canal

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A woman is dead after an incident in the Menomonee Valley overnight.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner says the woman died after an incident involving a car near 35th and Canal at about 2:30 a.m.

According to police, the woman -- identified as 18-year-old Lynnette Trinkle -- was a passenger of a vehicle and was sitting on the window frame. Trinkle fell and was struck by the rear of the vehicle. She sustained fatal injuries. 

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating. 

An investigation is ongoing.
