Man fatally shot near Marquette University identified as Purcell Pearson

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- Milwaukee police have identified Purcell Pearson, 22, as the victim who was fatally shot near 22nd and Wisconsin on Saturday, Feb. 6.

Police say the homicide occurred at 12:23 p.m.

Suspects in a vehicle fired shots at Pearson, striking him. 

Pearson died from his injuries.

Milwaukee City Attorney Tearman Spencer said Pearson graduated from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2020, and was a young aspiring entrepreneur. 

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.

Milwaukee police continue to seek unknown suspects.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- The Medical Examiner confirmed to CBS 58 they were called to the area of 23rd and Wisconsin for a fatal shooting Saturday, Feb. 6. 

Milwaukee police say the victim is a man in his early 20's.
