MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A Milwaukee County Transit System bus driver is bring praised for her actions on January 28.
According to MCTS, driver Vickie Foster was driving through a snowstorm near 12th and Winnebago when she saw someone walking down the street.
Foster slowed the bus down and asked the woman, who was carrying a baby boy, if she needed help.
According to MCTS, the woman told Foster she was looking for her son’s shoes which had fallen off while they had been walking.
Soon after, Foster spotted the shoes in the distance and drove her bus over to get them. She then ran the shoes over to the mother and her child and invited them on the bus.
The woman wrote to MCTS about Foster’s actions saying, “She truly went the extra mile. You never know when a small act of kindness will make a big difference in someone’s life.”
