MCSO: Suspect arrested after firing shots on I-894

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A subject was arrested after allegedly pulling out a gun and firing a single shot in the air before continuing southbound on I-894 Saturday, Sept. 19 around 1 p.m.

According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, the subject was driving a red vehicle and was located and arrested. The subject has been conveyed to the Milwaukee County Jail on potential charges including second degree recklessly endangering safety while armed, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession with the intent to deliver while armed. 

The incident caused all lanes to close southbound on the freeway at 1 p.m. and reopened at 1:30 p.m. 

Officials say the Greenfield and Hales Corners Police Departments assisted in the apprehension of the driver and the passenger.

The passenger was released.

No injuries have been reported.
