MCSO: Human femur discovered at Bradford Beach, investigation underway

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Officials say an investigation is underway following the discovery of human remains at Milwaukee's Bradford Beach Monday, March 6. 

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that a bone discovered in the area of Northpoint Monday morning was a human femur. 

The sheriff's office says the bone was discovered by a citizen who had been taking a morning walk at the beach. 

Additional remains were discovered in the same general vicinity, but authorities say it has not yet been determined whether they are human or animal.
