MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- For the first time this year, people in Milwaukee got a cup of joe with officers from MPD on Saturday, Jan. 11.
Coffee with a Cop gives the community a chance to meet police and connect with them on a more personal level.
The event was hosted at the Mcdonald's on 64th and Bluemound. CBS 58 talked to one of the executives at the restaurant, who told us why they have hosted the event for almost two years.
"We have built some great relationships with the police department as well, and we certainly plan on continuing to do so for the purpose of increasing the safety and security in the area," said Dino Delevski, vice president with the Rice Restaurant Group.
MPD will be back at that Mcdonald's every second Saturday of the month.
