Mayor Tom Barrett and city leaders to discuss final voting push before Election Day

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and Common Council President Cavalier Johnson will discuss important voting information ahead of Tuesday's election on Nov. 3.

The event will be Sunday, Nov. 1 and will also include Election Commission Executive Director Claire Woodall-Vogg.

“This is undoubtedly the most important election in the modern era of American politics, and during this final push I want to discuss important voter facts and timelines to help empower Milwaukeeans as they make their votes count on Tuesday,” Johnson said.

Johnson will focus on providing absentee voter information.

“This is a critical time, as voters can no longer return their absentee ballot via mail and need to take the proper steps to ensure that their vote is counted,” Johnson said. “There are 15 secure drop boxes stationed throughout the city, and submitting your ballot via drop box is the best way to make sure it is received.”
