Mayor Barrett looks forward in 2015 State of the City address

Mayor Barrett delivered his annual state of the city address Monday.  

Barrett says \"Milwaukee in 2015 is a city where opportunity is growing, investments are increasing and residents are tackling new endeavors.\"

Barrett says he supports Governor Walker's arena financing plan for the Milwaukee Bucks arena.

He's also proud of his \"Earn & Learn\" program. It helps teens learn how to interact with people and the value of work.

Barrett thanked the Milwaukee Common Council for moving the streetcar forward. He also joked about it being controversial, and then thanked business leaders for support. He says the streetcar is a \"part of my vision for a comprehensive transportation strategy that also includes cars, buses, bikes, and pedestrians\".

Barrett spoke at Alverno College on Milwaukee's south side.
