MATC receives $625,000 in donations for free-tuition Promise programs

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Two donors are helping give Milwaukee Area Technical College’s free tuition Promise Programs a boost.

This month, former Milwaukee County executive Chris Abele donated $500,000 while an anonymous alumnus donated $165,000.

MATC says the money will help the program which provides last-dollar free-tuition scholarships for qualified students.

The programs include the MATC Promise for High School Graduates and the MATC Promise for Adults.

The priority deadline to apply for both programs is December 4.
