MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Technical College (MATC) celebrated the completion and one year anniversary of the electrical power distribution training on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
MATC partnered with We Energies to create a new campus and make the program more accessible to Milwaukee students.
The 30-credit program takes 9 months and covers the basics in electrical power distribution, line mechanics safety, and general workplace communication.
The first class of line mechanics graduated from the new Milwaukee campus in spring of 2024. All graduates had jobs lined up.
