MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Residents had the chance to get a selfie with some of the biggest mascots in the state on Thursday, Aug. 20. This included Bernie Brewer, and Roscoe from the Milwaukee Admirals.
They stopped by Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport to say "hi" to fans. The airport had selfie stations set up to allow people to safely take photos with the mascots.
The event promotes the use of social distancing and masks, especially in the airport.
"We want to remind everybody that this is our communities airport we're here for them whenever they feel it's safe and they're ready to travel. and this is a great way to get out message out ahead of time before people come to the airport to make sure they have a face mask and they wear it in the airport and on the aircraft," said Harold Mester, Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport.
Airport officials say the aircrafts and airports get cleaned regularly to ensure the community's safety.
