Marquette Women's Basketball Team Chosen for NCAA Tournament

Marquette’s March madness extends beyond just the men’s team.
The women’s basketball team is headed to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2010-11 season. Marquette is a 5 seed in the Stockton Region, and they’ll face 12 seed Quinnipiac Saturday in Coral Gables, Florida in the tournament’s opening round.
Marquette’s women hosted – and won – the Big East tournament, beating DePaul in the championship game at the Al McGuire Center. They have a 25-7 overall record this season.
