MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Marquette University continued its tree-lighting tradition Tuesday night, Dec. 3.
Before the switch was flipped, Marquette's newly seated president told the crowd he wants everyone to use the Advent season as a time of reflection.
"It's a time where we ask -- what are we doing for others, how are we caring for the world, how are we caring for ourselves, and how do we care for those that we love?" said Marquette University President Dr. Kimo Ah Yun.
The crowd celebrated with carols sung and played by the Marquette band and their new all-campus choir, which is made up from several vocalist groups at the university.
