Marcus Performing Arts Center announces 4 new shows, from spectacular magic to high-stepping rhythms

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Marcus Performing Arts Center has announced four new additions to the 2023-24 MPAC Presents Series: "B—The Underwater Bubble Show," "DRUMLine Live," "The Magic of Bill Blagg LIVE!" and "Cirque Mechanics: Zephyr."

Tickets for these performances will be available at noon on Friday, June 2. Tickets can be purchased online at MarcusCenter.org, via phone at (414) 273-7206 or directly from the Marcus Center Box Office.

  • "The Underwater Bubble Show," set for Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m., tells the story of Mr. B's unexpected journey in the colorful underwater world of Bubblelandia, complete with unique visual effects.
  • "DRUMLine Live," slated for Jan. 6, 2024 at 7:30 p.m., captures the high-stepping style and riveting rhythms of the Historically Black College and University marching band tradition.
  • "The Magic of Bill Blagg LIVE!" invites audiences to a world of mysterious magic and illusions, coming to the stage on Feb. 2, 2024 at 7:30 p.m.
  • "Cirque Mechanics: Zephyr," scheduled for Mar. 7, 2024 at 7:30 p.m., is a theatrical circus show blending storytelling, high-level acrobatics and innovative contraptions.

MPAC noted in a Tuesday, March 30 press release that the new shows represent its commitment to expanding its diverse programming.

Announcements about more shows are expected, according to MPAC.
