MILWAUKEE - The Brewers saw a heavy dose of Washington starter Jordan Zimmermann Tuesday night. By Wednesday morning, it was Ryan Zimmerman who put an end to a marathon game.
Zimmerman's 16th inning home run gave Washington a 4-2 win in a game that took more than five hours to play.
Ryan Braun drove in the only two Brewers runs with a single.
The Brewers will try to avoid getting swept in a series for the first time this season when they face the Nationals Wednesday afternoon at 1:10.
