Many Opportunities to Help Clean Up on Earth Day

Today is Earth Day in the United States and also an opportunity for volunteers to help keep the parks and rivers clean in the Milwaukee area.

There are multiple river and park cleanups planned for Saturday.

From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. the Milwaukee Riverkeeper's organization is having their 22nd Annual Spring Cleanup. For more information: http://milwaukeeriverkeeper.org/annual-spring-river-cleanup/

In Menomonee Falls, the Menomonee River and Park Cleanup Event takes place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Rotary Park.

The Great American Cleanup at Hawthorne Glenn (1130 N. 60th St. in Milwaukee) will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Volunteers will help clean up litter and assist with other projects. Gloves and trash bags will be provided.
