Man's body recovered from Fox Lake, believed to be 36-year-old Beau Krantz

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man's body was recovered from Fox Lake, officials announced Friday, May 6. This, after a 36-year-old man named Beau Krantz capsized in a canoe on April 21. 

The body was turned over to the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office after the recovery was made.

While preliminary identification has been made, it is prudent to ensure a final positive identification can be made by the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office before a name is released.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says agents were on the water everyday since the man went missing. 

"This is certainly a very emotional and difficult incident for all involved and we are thankful for all who assisted in this lengthy search. Sheriff Dale Schmidt would like to thank the many people who assisted in the search and eventual recovery of this missing subject," the Dodge County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post. 

The case remains under investigation.
